What is a qualified joint and survivor annuity form of distribution?

The qualified joint and survivor annuity form of distribution is an annuity lump sum and without the consent of the participant or the participant's spouse if the participant's benefit does not exceed the amount specified in the Internal Revenue Code, currently $5,000.
